FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...
How Is Your Photography Different? I love to shoot outdoors in natural light, and in scenic environments that provide a beautiful and natural background. I especially enjoy capturing the natural behavior of dogs, so if possible I like to go someplace where the dog can be off the leash at least part of the time (e.g., a dog beach or dog park). We can also go to a favorite location of yours - the mountains, a lake, the beach at sunset, whatever suits you. If you prefer, we can also shoot indoors, either at your home or some other location that provides the type of environment you're looking for.
Every dog is different, so every photo shoot is different, customized to suit your preferences, the nature of your dog, and the types of photos you want to capture. Of course, this isn't as quick and easy as a photo session in a studio, but I can guarantee that your photos will be both beautiful and unique.
How Much Does It Cost? Because every photo shoot is customized and different, the cost will depend on what we do. You can have a simple shoot where the goal is a beautiful head shot to hang on your wall, or we can shoot a variety of activities in several different places for a photo album, a custom book, a digital slideshow on your website, or whatever else strikes your fancy.
Start with my basic fee schedule, then give me a call so we can discuss what you would like to achieve. We'll work out a plan to get some beautiful images of your dog within your budget.
Where Are You Located? I live in Mission Viejo, California, about 40 miles south of Los Angeles. The ocean, mountains, and desert are all nearby, so there are abundant opportunities for photography in scenic environments. I frequently travel throughout the western US, and occasionally venture to other parts of the country, so you can either come to me or I can come to you.
How Do I Schedule A Photo Shoot? The easiest thing to do is give me a call. We will discuss what kind of dog you have, what kinds of photos you want, where you would like to take them, and how much it will cost.
What If My Dog Is Not Obedience Trained? No worries. I have lots of tricks to get dogs to do what we want, and for great action photography no obedience training is necessary! The secrets to great dog photography are patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor. And if your dog gives me an especially challenging day, there's always my Guarantee - I'll do whatever it takes to get the shots you want, and I'll shoot until you're happy.
